Set up two-factor authentication

Every Altair Platform account requires 2FA. Add this account manually in your authenticator app (Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, 1Password, etc.):

If you ever lose your device, use one of these one-time codes to sign in instead. Each works once. This is the only time they'll be shown - save them somewhere safe now.

Passkeys

A passkey signs you in with your device's own screen lock instead of a code. It is an option, never a requirement - your password, your authenticator and Microsoft all keep working.
